There can be no body without feelings just as all emotions are in some ways traceable to the body. Hence, an important aspect of understanding how our identities are constructed entails the acceptance that it is impossible to locate the point where the flesh ends and feelings begin. Their relationship is like an ouroboros. Our thoughts about the flesh, in both its human and non-human forms, carry traces of our social locations and our positions in the world.
